Croom Beatty
Croom is a partner at Menlo Ventures focused on application layer AI and spends most of his time in financial technology, healthcare IT, and vertical software. Since joining Menlo in 2017, he led the firm’s Series A investments in Arch, Finch, NationGraph, Numeric, Prodigal, Rivet (acquired by Zelis), and Slash and seed investments in Abacus, Accordance, Relcu, and Squad Health. He has also invested in Fieldwire (acquired by Hilti), Fleetsmith (acquired by Apple), Hover, Particle Health, and ShipBob.
Previously, Croom worked in strategy at Payoneer (PAYO), where he launched and ran its first credit business line, which provided working capital solutions to small businesses in emerging markets. Before that, Croom started his investing career at Susquehanna Growth Equity, where he focused on growth-stage financial technology companies and worked on investments in Credit Karma, Payoneer, PaySimple, and others.
Croom graduated from Princeton University with a BA in history. In his free time, Croom enjoys going on very long walks (thru-hiked the 2,660-mile Pacific Crest Trail), running ultramarathons, skiing, and reading fiction. He currently lives in Mill Valley with his wife, two daughters, and fairly anxious yet wonderful dog.
