Customer acquisition costs have skyrocketed—up 222% over the past decade—making traditional advertising channels less effective and prohibitively expensive. At the same time, consumers are increasingly turning to creators to guide their product recommendations. In fact, 73% of Gen Z and 68% of millennials now rely on influencers for purchase decisions. Yet brands have struggled to fully leverage this trend. Traditional influencer marketing has left brands uncertain about how to optimize their investments.

This shift isn’t just changing shopping behavior—it’s reshaping the entire marketing landscape and creating a massive opportunity for innovation.

Enter ShopMy: Cracking the Code of Creator Marketing Metrics

By building the essential infrastructure for influencer-driven commerce, ShopMy is transforming creator marketing into a high-performance channel that delivers reliable results. Their platform integrates creator partnerships, affiliate marketing, and automation to offer insights comparable to paid search and social ads.

For example, their automated gifting tool, which allows brands to quickly build and share product lookbooks with creators in a single click, has processed over 190,000 product requests, saving brands countless hours. Their performance-driven tools have generated 16,000 pieces of creator content with over 125 million views—at a CPC 53% lower than Instagram ads. Most importantly, these innovations have driven more than $352 million in brand sales with a 5x return on investment, supported by 100,000 creators earning commissionable revenue.

The Right Team at the Right Time

Our investment in ShopMy comes as rising customer acquisition costs, growing demand for authentic recommendations, and the rapid integration of social commerce tools have converged to make creator-driven commerce the channel of the future. ShopMy’s approach isn’t just timely; it’s necessary.

ShopMy co-founders Harry Rein, Tiffany Lopinsky, and Chris Tinsley

At the helm are co-founders Harry Rein (CEO), Tiffany Lopinsky (President), and Chris Tinsley. Harry, an MIT-trained expert in computer science and AI, brings engineering and commerce expertise honed at Popcart. Tiffany complements this with extensive experience in product management and strategy, enabling her to scale ShopMy’s impact. Under their leadership, ShopMy has earned the trust of leading brands like Lululemon, Nordstrom, and Dior, and enabled commissions from over 50,000 brands. This new funding will enable ShopMy to build on its leadership in fashion and beauty and expand into verticals like health and wellness, food and beverage, and hospitality.

Why We Are Excited

At Menlo Ventures, we think big, backing bold companies that create new categories. Companies like Chime, Uber, Roku, and Siri redefined their industries by addressing massive market shifts in consumer behavior with innovative solutions. As we welcome ShopMy to the Menlo portfolio, they are paving the way for a new era of performance marketing—one that combines the authenticity consumers crave with the metrics brands need to succeed.

We’re honored to partner with Harry, Tiffany, Chris, and the entire ShopMy team as they build the future of creator-driven commerce.
