Claire Palmer

Claire is Director of Investor Relations at Menlo Ventures, where she runs the firm’s investor relations function and leads relationships with Menlo’s Limited Partners and broader investor community.

Claire’s career sits at the intersection of GP and LP perspectives. She joined Menlo from J.P. Morgan, where she was an Executive Director on the Venture Capital Relationship team and built the firm’s NextGen program, building community with the next generation of leading investors at top Bay Area funds and providing LP connectivity.

Previously, she ran the Emerging Manager practice at Silicon Valley Bank UK, growing SVB’s VC network across the UK and Europe, supporting LPs on venture strategy and manager selection and overseeing SVB’s founding partnership with the Newton Venture Program to expand access into venture capital. She then relocated to SVB’s Los Angeles office, where she spent two years covering VC firms. Earlier, she led the technology group at Smith & Williamson and headed entrepreneurs and family offices at Metro Bank Private Bank, both in London.

Claire grew up in London, spent time in LA attempting to surf and indulging her love of film, settled in the Bay Area, and now lives and hikes among the redwoods of the San Mateo mountains.
