Scott Orviss

Scott joined Menlo Ventures in March 2017 as Accounting Manager, after working in finance and operations roles across several startups. He became Assistant Controller in 2019 and Financial Operations Controller in 2023, where he oversees the firm’s management company, compliance, HR, and operations.

Scott studied finance at Vanguard University. He is welcoming, has a dry sense of humor, and is an automotive enthusiast—you’ll likely find him fixing cars or out on a racetrack on weekends. He lives in Redwood City with his wife and two kids, along with a menagerie that includes a dog, five cats, and 10 chickens.
