Ryan Hand

As a Principal on Menlo’s Inception team, Ryan spends her time working with and investing in founders at the earliest stages. Her focus is AI-native businesses solving real, venture-scale problems. She offers hands-on support to help founders pressure-test concepts, sharpen their wedge, and translate broad ambitions into focused, fundable businesses.

Ryan joined Menlo from Redesign Health, where she was Vice President on the New Ventures team. Over four years, she identified opportunities within the healthcare ecosystem, led diligence, and built companies from the ground up, supporting the ideation, development, and launch of 40+ companies across the platform. Earlier in her career, she worked at early-stage startups including Klara and Parsley Health across product and member experience. Ryan started her career in academia during her undergrad at Cornell University and while pursuing a master’s at Columbia University.

Ryan lives in San Francisco and often spends time at the farm she grew up on in Far Hills, NJ. She loves nature and trail running.
