We’re excited to announce that the Anthology Fund portfolio has now grown to 45+ companies with 12 new additions this quarter, including founders who were global leaders of BigTech, successful multi-time entrepreneurs, and even physicists on the team that discovered the Higgs boson!

Our investments this quarter include AI co-scientists for biology, AI payments infrastructure, AI-automated systems integrator, customer experience agents for small and medium businesses and compute marketplaces.

This adds to the list of Anthology companies that have gone on to grow into greater successes like OpenRouter, Clerk, Goodfire, WisdomAI, Wispr Flow, Ndea, Prime Intellect, and Chai Discovery. Anthology companies show significantly higher graduation rates (nearly 2–3x!) to future rounds in the same time horizon than other companies.

Expanding the Founder Ecosystem

In September, we hosted our Anthology Founders Series event around the theme, “The Future of Product Development (in the Age of AI),” bringing together 60 founders at Menlo’s San Francisco office for an afternoon of deep technical talks and community-building. Thanks to the Anthropic team, our speaker lineup featured Ben Mann (Co-founder), Dianne Penn (Head of Product Management for Frontier Research), Boris Cherny (creator of Claude Code), and Brad Abrams (Head of API Product). Founders especially connected with Ben’s call to “build for the exponential”—products that compound in value as the underlying models get 10x better; Dianne’s examples of Anthropic’s product development philosophy anchored around discovery as opposed to design; and Boris’ lessons on how “hackable systems” inspired the creation of Claude Code.

Looking Ahead

The Anthology Fund continues to invest in both lead and follow rounds in:

  • Exceptional pre-seed and seed founders working in AI
  • Startups with a strategic partnership with Anthropic
  • Companies with novel use-cases of Claude

We plan to share an updated enterprise AI report in the coming months, as well as meet more entrepreneurs in areas like healthcare and consumer.

Deedy is a partner at Menlo Ventures focused on early-stage investments in AI/ML, next-generation infrastructure, and enterprise software. Having been an engineer and product leader at both a successful startup and large public companies, Deedy is well-equipped to help technical founders navigate how to build and scale enduring tech companies.…
